ASBCC Board of Directors Welcomes Real Estate Veteran Kathy Mann

Kathy is a real estate broker with a tireless passion for helping others. She began her career by serving her country as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserves. Kathy attended Prairie View A&M University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She began her nursing career working as a pediatric oncology nurse at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis and a neonatal intensive care unit nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. These experiences have been among the most challenging and enriching of Kathy’s life, enhancing her spirit of service. In 2005, Kathy made a career change to real estate. She vigorously applied herself to mastering the complex aspects of the industry, pursuing specialized education, and becoming involved with local, state and national committees. Her thirst for knowledge, along with her uncompromised commitment to excellence, integrity and service to her clients, enabled Kathy to achieve great success as a Real Estate Broker and REALTOR®. In 2016 Kathy served as the first female African American President in the 70-year history of the Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS® and was REALTOR® of the YEAR in 2018. In January of this year, she was awarded the Broker of Excellence Award by the Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS®. She has also been recognized for her exemplary sales record in 2021 by receiving the President Circle Award for being in the top 7% in sales for Coldwell Banker agents worldwide. In May of 2021 she became the only black owner of a Coldwell Banker Franchise in the State of Alabama and the African American franchise owner nationwide. She provides industry leadership while continuing to serve homebuyers and sellers throughout Northern Alabama.
